I Am A Filipino. Born In Bikol. Never Left the Country even once. Though I Hate most people who has unjustifiable criticisms about the Philippines. I must do agree that this country has really been on the downslide. Manny Paquiao is an idiot who hitched on his stardom to produce dopey films, create stupid records and run for politics. Im ashamed that this has been the standard of the Filipino community today. I dont want Manny Paquiao to be the representation of the Philippines. I mean he cant even speak english coherently.
In the argument that the Philippines is A Sex Paradise. I sadly admit that it might be true. Try stepping into a local internet shop at around midnight to about four in the morning. You can see well dressed ladies chatting on cam with foreigners some of them would even get up as if to show the person on the other end how they physically look. There has to be a reason why some people would quote “afam! afam! sagot sa kahirapan” (foreigner! foreigner! you are the answer to poverty) many of us publicly or secretly wanted to marry someone from the West to get rich quickly.
If you are angered by this then that is good. You are affected! look around you. you may be an epitome of a perfect Filipino but you are not majority. How many Filipinos are excited to go out at midnight before elections to buy votes? How many Filipinos would rather run across a busy intersection when there is an overpass a few meters away? We are a country where our first president killed his rival so he can win (Aguinaldo vs Bonifacio) We are a country where people with professional licenses are minimumly paid compared to high school grads (Teachers and Nurses Vs. Call Center Agents).
I agree that what Adam Carolla said is somewhat exaggerated to some degree. but if it wasn’t nobody would care. nobody would be angered. nobody would post certain blogs like this. and nobody would know.

Adam Carolla is living proof why, if I had to settle outside the Philippines, I’d rather live in Europe than in the US.
