Since it’s the opening week of classes, I did not have much time watching TV like I usually do. So, I was quite surprised with the news that Tyrone Perez is now a Kapamilya. The first thing that came into mind was my colleague Dianne screaming “Simeon?” or “Sino yun?”
I tried to refresh my memory, not with bar exam memory aides from San Beda, but by Googling him up. With press release, which goes by these wordings, who would not dare to get curious?
“A former exclusive talent from a rival network, Tyron Perez is now a certified Kapamilya after signing a contract with Star Magic while being co-managed by director Jerry Lopez-Sineneng. (Rachelle Siazon, ABS-CBN.com)”
I found out that he was in the same Starstruck batch as Mark Herras, Jennylyn Mercado, Katrina Halili, and of course, Cristine Reyes.
I believe he was an exclusive talent from a rival network until he ventured into soft-porn sexy films in the guise of indie films.
