I resist to be limited.
I celebrated my birthday yesterday and I cannot keep but look back on the previous year with much joy and zealousness. 2011 is undeniably my most fruitful year so far. While luck and favorable fate played a huge part, most could be attributable to my new-found philosophy: resisting to be bound by limits.
I resist being limited. I resist to be bound. I resist not pushing myself to the limits.
In a world of constant challenge, I resist to be bound by limits. Pinoy Gossip Boy had seen its own emergence this year to being one of the most celebrated entertainment news sites in the country. I know that I owe this to my readers, so I resist offering them less than what they deserve.
In blogging, there are no set rules, no standards to follow, and no prescribed values to uphold. But knowing that somehow, I influence people, no matter how little the impact is, I know that I should be more tactful with what I write. I resist joining the bandwagon of irresponsible blogging and instead pushed myself to be responsible on informing others. I resist being limited by my own online sphere, and instead tried to be at par with established news outlets.
Some people might call this overzealousness plain stupidity, but for the mighty, this is boldness and youthful idealism. Blogging on Pinoy Gossip Boy gave me the chance to be of influence to others, but it is incumbent upon me to make this influence positive to others.
My resistance against limiting myself proved to be fruitful. 2011 paved the way for my introduction to mainstream media. From being a blogger to being an editor in a national news outlet, I set a new track for myself and people similarly situated. My resistance to be kept inside the box enabled me to be part of one of the country’s most respected editorial team.
All the milestones in my life, no matter how little they appear to others, an be attributed to my bold attitude to resist limitations. The world is ours for the taking. All we need to do is push ourselves to the limit and resist to be bound by limitations.
This new year, I will display a bolder attitude. This new year, I will resist.

Belated Happy birthday!!! You know, i was an avid fan of Pinoy gossipboy before… pero napansin ko na puro TV5 at abs-cbn na lang parati ang napi-feature dito. I can’t blame you… siguro may retainer ka na sa kanila, kaya lang, wala namang gana kung puro sila lang. Paano naman ang katulad ko na kapuso… wala akong interes na basahin kung puro ganyan ang articles. Sana, magsulat ka din ng mga interesting gossips… parang puro galing sa tv5 at abs ang sinusulat mo eh. Medyo matagal ko na yan napapansin… kaya bihira na ako sumilip dito. Sana makinig ka sa advice ko.
