Piolo Pascual: From heartthrob roles to father roles

As we all know, Piolo Pascual will be joining the cast of the Zaijian Jaranilla starrer Noah. Piolo Pascual will play the role of the father of the title role, which is played by one hit wonder turning to be superstar Zaijian Jaranilla.

Just recently, there was quite a boo-boo about the upcoming film when Zaijian was quoted saying that he does not want someone like Piolo to be his father. Oh well, a child does not lie, I think.

Most of us know that Piolo used to play heartthrob roles but then again, most, if not all, of us know that he is not getting any younger. And unlike Richard Gere, it is quite inevitable for him to cross-over to taking paternal roles.

So there, Piolo has indeed successfully crossed over to taking father roles. If there is any consolation, it would be refreshing to see a 3o plus Piolo not doing pa-tweetums.

In all fairness to Piolo, most of us have been witnesses to the successful plight of his career. My oldest recollection of Piolo in either TV or film was when he played boyfriend, who became dependent on drugs, of Maricel Soriano in Mila.
