Luis Manzano is still courting Angel Locsin

Perhaps one of the breakthroughs of Pinoy Gossip Boy during its nascent months, in its predecessor blog, was when it was the first to confirm the break-up between then celebrity couple Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin.

After few days, media from various outfits picked up the story. The news was later confirmed by no less than the parties involved to the controversy.

Now, in an exclusive interview with a major broadsheet, Luis admitted, that she is still courting Angel Locsin.

Several months had passed and several men had been rumored to be wooing Angel but the passion is still on for Luis.

It will take more than five TV shows and two movies to derail Luis Manzano from courting ex-flame Angel Locsin, this, the host-actor told Bulletin Entertainment last Thursday on the set of “Hating Kapatid.”

“In fairness din kay Angel, her schedule is unbelievable. Yung pinagsasabay niya yung movie tsaka yung ‘Imortal’ (TV series,) that’s unbelievable. [The intention to win her back] ay hindi nag-iba. May mga bagong priorities lang. Parehong may mga priorities lang kami now,” Luis told a small group of entertainment scribes.

In fact, Luis made sure he congratulated Angel when she topped FHM’s sexiest. He said, “It’s a well-deserved award. Hindi naman siya kukunin ng mga endorsements niyang catering sa sexy side if she didn’t have the goods to back it up. Nakausap ko pa siya. The moment malaman ko na siya yung nanalo, tinawagan ko agad siya. Oo naman, [we still communicate] but we’re not together.”

Luis also affirmed Angel’s claim that she’s just friends with Chito Miranda. The “Wowowee” host revealed there were instances he spent times with Angel and her friends, including the Parokya ni Edgar frontman. “Kilala ko si Chito. Angel wouldn’t put any of us in that uncomfortable situation if there’s something [between them]. Tropa lang sila. She wouldn’t do that to any suitor [put them in one uncomfortable situation]. Pero matagal-tagal na since yung huli kong punta sa kanila.”

What is keeping them from being reunited is the kind of “mindset” they both have at the moment. “It’s not the schedule but more of the mindset. Yung schedule madaling magawan ng paraan yan eh but the mere fact that I’m also in showbiz, I know how an artista works, and vice-versa. The mindset is that we have to focus on other things na inihahandog sa amin ngayon.”
