Kris Aquino broke down into tears in an episode of The Buzz
Queen of Multimedia Kris Aquino was very emotional earlier after the taped interview of Ruffa Gutierrez was played in the Sunday afternoon talk show The Buzz. Kris broke down into tears and expressed that she was thinking of quitting The Buzz.
Kris said that she feels bad that some people demoralize his brother, presidential aspirant Noynoy Aquino, by using her and her personal issues to his brother’s detriment. Kris averred that she is willing to do the supreme sacrifice of quitting The Buzz for his brother’s sake. It can be remembered that Annabelle Rama, Ruffa Gutierrez’ mother, is among the ones who collaterally attacked Noynoy Aquino’s presidential bid by attacking Kris Aquino’s character.
Kris revealed that she sought advice from her sisters on deciding whether or not she would quit The Buzz. In the end, her sisters made her realize that she was never a quitter and no amount of controversy would pull her down.
Personally, I commend Kris for her sincerity. I believe that showbiz and politics are intertwined. But no matter how intertwined they may be, political issues will never be a sufficient reason to deprive showbiz with one of its, so to speak, royalties.
But if push comes to shove, do you think Kris would really quit showbiz?

I love Kris Aquino. Aside from being smart, charismatic and a go getter…. she’s also a very genuine and sincere person and I think that’s why she is loved by millions of Filipinos all over the world.
I certainly hope she does not quit.
if quitting will have positive result on her brother’s candidacy, why not, this will give kris the needed space to campaign for her brother as this will also put her credibility above ruffa and annabelle’s scripted walkout

No, she should not quit, to quote, “showbiz should not be deprived with one of its royalties.” As Kris admits, her personality is one that creates polarity, it’s either you love her or hate her. People tend to judge her by the one or two-liner that comes out of her mouth, but one can only judge her fairly if you understand where she is coming from. It is only when one can look at the big picture can she be understood.

I hope ABSCBN realizes that Kris Aquino has crossed the line many times to use her shows to campaign for Noynoy, directly and indirectly. Wag nang daanin sa technicality. Di naman mangmang lahat ng Pinoy viewers and voters. I thought Noynoy and his family is all of delicadeza and integrity? Ano na naman kaya ang gagawin ni Kris today sa The Buzz? Parang ayoko nang malaman.
