Did Kim Chiu really attempt to commit suicide?
Rumors are circulating now that Kim Chiu attempted to commit suicide. And the reason? Her break-up with perennial partner Gerald Anderson.
In his showbiz column, veteran entertainer German Moreno, otherwise known as Kuya Germs, said that Kim Chiu may have attempted suicide. He even said that this may have been caused by Kim’s alleged break-up with Gerald Anderson.
Kim Chiu’s suicide attempt is a very serious accusation. Though I am not aware of any laws punishing suicide attempt, I know that giving assistance to suicide is a felony under the Revised Penal Code.
Even if the suicide was not consummated, the person who gave assistance is punishable with the penalty of arresto mayor in its medium and maximum periods.
Well, I know this has actually nothing to do with Kim Chiu’s suicide attempt, I just want to show that I know my RPC. Haha.
Anyway, that rumor of Kim Chiu attempting suicide is very disappointing. That is a very serious accusation that needs a preponderance of evidence. And I seriously do not think that Kim Chiu is the type of person who would harm herself due to petty things. Besides, Kim Chiu has so many things in life to be grateful of.
