JC de Vera backs out from Panday Kids

In spite of airing for more than a week now, JC de Vera was reportedly backing out from portraying the lead role in the newly-launched GMA remake Panday Kids.

The young actor who was rumored to be using steroids plays the role of the caretaker of the Panday sword. Panday Kids earned modest rating for its week-long run.

According to a very reliable source, JC will be replaced in Panday Kids by showbiz newcomer Paulo Avelino. JC backed out from Panday Kids as he will be transferring to TV5 soon.
