Philippines' premiere entertainment editor Ricky Lo
Showbiz writer Salve Asis wrote in her column today that country’s topnotch entertainment editor and former Kapamilya Ricky Lo was banned from attending press conferences concerning ABS-CBN talents.
The issue was caused by Ricky’s article in his mainstream paper column which apparently was not liked by a network executive. Said executive called Ricky’s superior, instead of Ricky himslef, in hopes that Ricky would be penalized. However, the said action did not prosper.
Ricky was specifically banned from the press conference of Star Cinema’s Pa’no na Kaya? starring thinspiration Kim Chiu and semi-hunk actor Gerald Anderson. The executive threatened that they would not present Kim to the press should Ricky attend the event.
Salve said that the person who caused Ricky’s banning are Star Magic executive isStar Magic’s Johnny Manahan. Johnny used to head Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent arm until Mariolle Alberto assumed his post.

i hate ricky lo. i don’t know how he can host when he can barely talk straight, or communicate his questions properly. i personally find him dumb.
