Lakas-Kampi standard bearer Gibo Teodoro
The wife of business tycoon Danding Cojuangco, Mrs. Gretchen Cojuangco, who shares the same name with a Cojuangco concubine, sans the legal use of the Cojuangco surname, of course, said that his husband won’t be supporting Gibo Teodoro’s presidential bid. Gibo is Danding’s nephew through her sister, Mercedes.
Mrs. Cojuangco said this statement yesterday at the University of St. La Salle Bacolod where she was guest speaker during the graduation of policemen who took up masters’ degrees at the university, through a scholarship program funded by Danding Cojuangco.
Mrs. Cojuangco said, “Anybody but Gibo. Anybody,” after being asked who her husband would support between Teodoro and their other nephew, Liberal Party standard bearer Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.
The socialite also belied allegations purportedly saying the Gibo and Danding are in good terms.
“He tells everybody everything’s right with him and his uncle. Sala eh (mali eh). Maybe with him, but his conscience tells him otherwise. I don’t know what kind of conscience that is.”
Apparently, a rift between the uncle and the nephew arose after Gibo’s transfer to Lakas-Kampi.

kumampi kasi si Gibo kay GMA. ayaw na nya kay danding. gusto nya dun sa makakatulong sa dagdag-bawas.
paki ko ba kung di suportado ng mga Cojuangco si Gibo. He is by far the most decent, untainted, and has the best platforms.
I agree, but in the history of family in politics, it is not a wise move for members of the same family or clan to run in the same position for both of them stands to lose. Gibo thought all the while that GMA is with him and did not expect Noynoy to run as well. Everything was planned and it is too late to step back and give the floor to Noynoy. Good luck to the Cojuangcos because am sure money talks in this election. Dividing the family is a disaster. If Money wins, the Philippines will never rise into a great nation, ever.
