Sunday musical vaeriety program SOP goin' away
News about GMA-7′s Sunday musical variety show SOP getting axed surfaced as early as late last month. According to sources, the said musical variety show is having a had time recuperating in the ratings game.
It can be remembered that SOP’s bigwig Perry Lansingan decided to leave the show to focus on managing the careers of Dingdong Dantes and Jolina Magdangal. Perry’s decision to leave SOP is of no surprise as he practically earns more managing Dingdong and Jolina. After all, money is the name of the game. However, Perry’s departure caused the Sunday program to suffer.
Just minutes ago, SOP has been confirmed to be airing its final telecast this Sunday, February 28. The confirmation came from no other than SOP big stars Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez.
According to Regine, SOP will be replaced by another musical variety program titled Party Pilipinas. The Asia’s Songbird was happy to announce that she will still be part of the new program.
