CONFIRMED: Kris Aquino to leave the country

Kris Aquino broke down into tears in an episode of The Buzz

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino confirmed that she will be leaving the Philippines for Japan. The former first daughter and now first sister confirmed via text to Yes Magazine Editor-in-Chief  Joann Maglipon that she will be leaving the country soon.

It can be remembered that Kris was quoted saying she will leave the country should Noynoy Aquino win the presidential race. Now that Aquino is leading the polls, many people have been wondering whether Kris will stay true to her statement.

In a text message to the magazine editor, she confirmed that she will be leaving the country. However, Kris clarified that it will only be for a vacation. She and her family will visit Disney after her obligations with Pilipinas Got Talent and Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo.

She will be gone for at least three weeks.

By the way, Kris will be back on SNN on Monday, May 17.

If  it wasn’t for Kris, laglag na si Noynoy sa pagkapresidente so i think we should all be thankful to her. At least hindi si Erap ang presidente

hindi naman absolute ang statement ni kris that she will leave pinas if noy gets elected period. she said she will leave if noy wins AND if she becomes a headache to noy. there are 2 conditions. i dont think that shes a headache to noy at least for now.

she used “if” in her statement. she didn’t say once noy gets elected she’ll leave the country. she said she’ll leave if naging pabigat or problema na sya sa kanyang brother. we should take note of the words she quoted so we can understand well what she really meant. masakit sa kanya na halus paalisin siya ng pinoy sa sarili niyang bansa. she has the right to stay here especially now that her brother is elected as president. if not for her, di magiging superlakas candidacy ni noynoy. we should be thankful of her most importantly to the people who believe that noy will make a change in this country.

most people specially those who do not like Kris take her words out of context. She never said that she’d leave the country if Noy wins the presidential race. What she said was, she would leave the country IF she causes stress on her brother’s presidency.  Kris’ sacrifices for her brother show how good a sister she is. She kept her promise during her mom’s funeral that no matter what the plans of Noy’s are in the future she will be behind her brother all the way. She did it wholeheartedly and her sacrifices and those of her family and the rest of the Filipinos who voted for Noy did not go in vain. Kris may seem tactless most of the times but one thing that you could question is her integrity.

What I meant was, Kris may seem tactless most of the times but one thing that you could NOT question is her integrity. Sorry for the lapse!

@katarina, I agree … however blunt (and sometimes tactless) Kris may be, no once can question her love for her family.  It’s pretty obvious that her statement was being taken out of context, and that she’s being misquoted.  She’s not my favorite entertainer, but honestly, all this is too much.  Cut the girl some slack, people!  And c’mon … does anyone seriously believe that Kris will go into politics, or that Noynoy will give her a government position, or that she’ll be in Malacañang?  Give me a break!  People should leave her be already!  What has this girl ever done to us, that people should say that she should leave?  Between her and Mikey Arroyo, who do y’all think should leave the country?

That goes 2 show that Kris is an arrogant person.Kris is really out of line eh?I guess there r important things than Kris in this world and that is moving our country forward that is.We Filipinos have to forget the past and let’s moved on 2 the future.right now politicians after the election really needs 2 get the attention of this country and give them what is necessary needed food, education etc.We filipinos need to be together not just depending on our politicians but ourselfs as well.We have to move on to keep the Phil.Moving forward 2 progress instead of backwards man.
