For the second time since 1995, Microsoft founder Bill Gates is not on top of Forbes’ World’s Richest List. Forbes Magazine released it list of world’s richest persons today. Topping the list is Mexican telecommunications mogul Carlos Slim.

Carlos Slim owns holding company America Movil, which contains a sprawling collection of telecom assets. However, Carlos Slim’s margin over Bill Gates is, similar to his surname, also slim by billionaire standards. Carlos Slim has an estimated net worth of $53.5 billion while Bill Gates has an estimated net worth of $53 billion. Experts say that if not for Bill Gates’ extensive philanthrophy and charity, his net worth may jump to $80 billion.

Analysts expect that Bill Gates’ net worth will incrase very soon as Microsoft shares increased by a dollar.
